NFL legend Roberto Garza visits Mestalla in an international activation
Valencia CF and the Chicago Bears have united for a joint activation between the club and the NFL team. A delegation from the NFL franchise, led by ambassador Roberto Garza, visited Mestalla this past week. Garza is an American football legend with 14 seasons at the elite level to his name, including an appearance at Super Bowl XLI.
He took the Mestalla Forever Tour that more than 80,000 people visit every year, learning about the oldest stadium in LaLiga, and also had the opportunity to meet Valencia CF midfielder Pepelu, as they taught each other the tricks of their respective trades and interacted with club mascot 'AMUNT'.
Valencia CF and the Chicago Bears share elements of their identity such as traditional team colours (white, black and orange) and were founded a little more than a year apart. They took advantage of this opportunity to strengthen ties and record cross-content that will be published on different platforms for a combined audience that exceeds 20 million followers in total.
This international activation, carried out by the Valencia CF Communication and Marketing and Commercial departments, is part of the club's strategy to penetrate the North American and Mexican markets, attracting new audiences. It coincides with the strategy of the Chicago Bears, have chosen Spain as a target within the NFL's ambitious international expansion program.
The Chicago Bears work with the objective of promoting the growth of the NFL in Spain, carrying out actions like this one with Valencia CF to gain attention on social networks and generate fans through content, as well as other tactics such as the organisation of workshops and watchparties in different Spanish cities with the collaboration of the Wasserman agency.
